Mr Zhou Xiaodong from the Yong Siew Toh (YST) Conservatory of Music, at the National University of Singapore, would like to invite all AES Singapore members to an upcoming talk and demo with Tony Maserati at the Recording Studio in YST Conservatory, NUS on Saturday 11 December 2010.

A tour of the newly constructed Yong Siew Toh Conservatory of Music Recording Studio at the National University of Singapore was specially conducted for the members of the AES Singapore Section on 17th April 2009. The tour gave an introduction to the construction parts and equipment of the recording studio such as the SSL C200 studio console and the latest studio diffusion technology from RPG diffuser Inc. for the purpose of classical or modern music production. The members were also given a short tour of the conservatory’s concert hall.

Technical Visit to the Esplanade

A specially conducted back of house tour for the members of the AES Singapore Section was held on 7th December 2009. The tour focused on the audio set up of the 4 main venues of the Esplanade: Concert Hall, Lyric Theatre, Recital Studio & Theatre Studio.
Talk on CharterOak SCL-1 Discrete Compressor Limiter

The members of the AES Singapore Section were invited to a talk by Michael Deming, President and Founder of CharterOak on the CharterOak SCL-1 Discrete Compressor Limiter held at Pavane Recording Studio on 2nd September 2009. The talk covered the concepts and design criteria behind the SCL-1 and attendees were given the chance to hear the SCL-1, PEQ-1 Program Equalizer and CharterOak’s line of microphones.
Filming of Movie " The Genius of Beauty"
17 & 18 August 2009, Time: 8:00am – 6:00pm
Venue: The Malay Village, Singapore
The members of the AES Singapore Section were cordially invited by AES Chairman, Mr Ravi Vedant to attend and observe the intricacies of live sync recording in a filming environment for the shooting of the movie titled “The Genius of Beauty”. The film shooting was held at the Malay Village in Singapore on 17th and 18th August 2009.
